Osborne
The Osborne underground copper-gold mine is located in the state of Queensland in northeastern Australia, 195 kilometres southeast of the inland town of Mount Isa and 720 kilometres west-southwest of the coastal city of Townsville.
In 2009, production at Osborne totaled approximately 43,000 ounces of gold and 91 million pounds of copper. Total cash costs were $250 per ounce of gold and $1.15 per pound of copper1. The proven and probable mineral reserves at December 31, 2009 are estimated at 19,000 ounces of gold and 31 million pounds of copper2.
